Call Seminar Internationalization for the Construction of Peace

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) invites Colombian institutions of higher education to attend the seminar “Internationalization for the construction of peace”, which will take place in Colombia from March to June, 2018.

What is the seminar about?

The seminar offers to Colombian higher education institutions tools to elaborate and promote internationalization capacities and strategies. There will be two workshops, one at the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla and the other at the Universidad de la Sabana in Chia. Additionally, participants have the opportunity to follow virtual workshops and get support for development their own projects.

 

Who does the seminar address to?

Colombian higher education institutions, particularly those located in regions affected by the armed conflict. The institution can postulate a maximum number of two representatives. The institutions do not need high quality institutional accreditation, but they must be registered in the SNIES. The course fees, study material, board and lodging in Barranquilla and Chia will be covered by the organization of the seminar.

 

Seminar’s Background

In 2017 and after participating in the DIES seminar “Management of Internationalization” of the German Leibniz Universität in Hannover, Colombian ex scholarship holders developed the seminar “Internacionalización para la construcción de paz”. This seminar is financed by the German DAAD and supported by the Colombian DAAD, ASCUN, CAN and the Ministry of Education of Colombia.
